Stay healthy by frequent hand-washing, coughing and sneezing into your elbow (Dracula style), and eating and sleeping well.

BACK TO SCHOOL-AUGUST 24,2009

Hi kids and parents!

I’m looking forward to seeing you on Monday,  August 24th.

I have some good news!  Our school needed to have a 4th/5th grade combo class, and I will be your teacher for the class!  So, that means I will be have some of my students again from last year, as well as some other 4th graders from Mrs. McKean and Mr. Crosbie.  The new 5th graders will be great role models for the new 4th graders.  Plus, I am excited to be able to teach you about United States History, 5th grade Math and 5th grade Science.

We”ll see each other on Monday!  WELCOME and WELCOME BACK  to C-7!

SUMMER IDEAS

What are your plans for the summer? Are they,  #1 -save money and stay around town, and #2- save money and read for entertainment? Check out the new link for “Free Things to do Around San Diego,”  the two links for  “Summer Reading Lists,” and the “Borders Summer ’09 Reading Challenge” link.  Borders offers a coupon when your student has read 8 books. Your local library should have many of these classic and popular titles as well as  summer reading programs with prizes. Students can keep up their reading skills and get ahead by reading books, many of which have Reading Counts quizzes.
